　　Once in a physics examination，Nick finished the first question very soon，while his classmates were thinking it hard.

　　The question was: when it thunders why do we see the lightning first，then hear the thunder rolls

　　Nick’s answer: Because our eyes are before ears.

　　一次物理考試

　　在一次物理考試中當(dāng)同學(xué)們都還在苦思冥想時(shí)，尼克很快就答好了第一個(gè)問(wèn)題。

　　這個(gè)問(wèn)題是:為什么在打雷時(shí)，我們總是先看到閃電后聽(tīng)到雷聲?

　　Englishman

　　Once, late at night, an Englishman came out of his room into the corridor of a hotel and asked the servant to bring him a glass of water. The servant did as he was asked. The Englishman re-entered his room, but a few minutes later he came into the corridor again and once more asked the servant for a glass of water. The servant brought him another glass of water. Every few minutes the Englishmen would come out of his room and repeat his request. After a half-hour the astonished servant decided to ask the Englishman what he was doing with the water. "Nothing," the Englishman answered imperturbably, "It’s simply that my room is on fire."

　　一個(gè)英國(guó)人

　　一天晚上，一個(gè)英國(guó)人從他住的旅店房間里走出來(lái)。來(lái)到走廊上，叫旅店的服務(wù)員給他拿一杯水來(lái)。服務(wù)員按他的要求做了。英國(guó)人回到了他的房間里，幾分鐘后他又來(lái)到走廊上，讓服務(wù)員再給他送一杯水。服務(wù)員又給他送了一杯水。每隔幾分鐘。英國(guó)人就走出房間重復(fù)他的要求。半小時(shí)之后.這位感到驚訝的服務(wù)員決定問(wèn)問(wèn)房客要這些水干什么，英國(guó)人不謊不忙地回答：”沒(méi)什么.只不過(guò)是我的房間里起火了。“

　　The New Teacher

　　George comes from school on the first of September.

　　"George, how did you like your new teacher?”asked his mother.

　　“I don’t like her, mother, because she said that three and three were six and then she said that two and four were six too.”

　　新老師

　　9月1號(hào)，喬治放學(xué)回到家里。

　　“喬治，你喜歡你們的新老師嗎?”媽媽問(wèn)。

　　“媽媽?zhuān)也幌矚g，因?yàn)樗f(shuō)3加3得6，可后來(lái)又說(shuō)2加4也得6.
